First, you will need some basic materials such as fabric of your choice, 12cm invisible zipper, a ruler, scissors, pins and a sewing machine. Once you have everything ready, simply follow this step-by-step pattern:
Measure your waist circumference and the desired length of the skirt. Make sure to add seam allowances (1.5cm) and pleats (twice the width you want for each pleat).
Cut two pieces of fabric, one for the front and one for the back, using the measurements you took in the previous step.
Join the two pieces of fabric on the sides and sew the side seams. Leave one of them for the invisible zipper.
Fold and iron the top edge of the skirt to make the edge of the waistband.
Make small pleats in the fabric along the waistband, distributing them evenly around the entire skirt. Make sure the pleats are pinned securely.
Sew the pleats in place, making sure they are securely pinned and the skirt looks pleated and voluminous.
